Led by the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC) with Belgian Finance Center, Casablanca Finance City, Frankfurt Main Finance and Paris Europlace as project members and FinCity.Tokyo, FinanceMalta and EnterpriseNGR as contributors, this WAIFC working paper builds on the alliance's earlier report on SMEs' post-COVID recovery. On capacity building, the paper profiles the Astana International Financial Centre's Bureau for Continuing Professional Development (BCPD), launched in 2017, and its QWANT programming school, which received over 2,000 training applications in 2021, trained more than 560 developers (46% women), reported a graduate employment rate above 90%, and entered HolonIQ's 2021 ranking of the world's 100 most innovative education companies. The paper also documents Casablanca Finance City's Africa Innovation Lab, whose first incubation program shortlisted eight fintechs — active in crowdfunding, payment solutions and robo-advisory — for a three-month acceleration bootcamp, alongside the CFC Academy's MBA and professional certification programs run with the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments, the Chartered Insurance Institute and the CFA Institute.
