The report finds that in 2024, despite currency volatility, fiscal constraints, and inflation reaching 34.80% by December — the highest in nearly three decades — Nigeria's economy demonstrated resilience, with full-year GDP growth of 3.4%, up from 2.74% in 2023, driven largely by the non-oil economy, which grew 3.27% and accounted for 94.49% of GDP. Financial institutions increased their contribution to national output, accounting for ₦6 of every ₦100 generated, up from ₦5 the previous year.

The report also charts EnterpriseNGR's own institution-building work, notably the Lagos International Financial Centre (LIFC) initiative, whose Council is co-chaired by the Governor of Lagos State and EnterpriseNGR's Chairman, and its Youth of Enterprise (YOE) internship programme, which has attracted over 89,000 applications and placed more than 2,000 young graduates. Looking ahead, the report concludes that sustaining growth will require deepening financial inclusion, strengthening regulation, expanding sukuk issuance, improving fintech interoperability, and retaining professional-services talent, while the FPS sector's continued expansion positions Nigeria to advance its ambition of becoming Africa's premier financial centre.
