Paris EUROPLACE is the association that promotes the Paris financial centre in France and internationally. It was founded in 1993 by the Banque de France, the Caisse des Dépôts, the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Île-de-France regional council, Euroclear France, Euronext and the City of Paris, and is based at the Palais de la Bourse in central Paris. The association is governed by a board of directors made up of companies and professional federations, supported by a steering committee and two colleges representing companies and investors; it is chaired by Augustin de Romanet. Its stated priorities are the attractiveness of the Paris financial centre, sustainable finance, innovation and infrastructure. Its sustainable finance work is carried out by the Institut de la Finance Durable, which succeeded the Finance for Tomorrow initiative on 1 January 2023, while Finance Innovation supports the fintech ecosystem. Paris EUROPLACE also organises the Paris EUROPLACE International Financial Forum and was one of the eleven founding signatories of the EU Roundtable of Financial Centres in November 2021.
