A Recap of EnterpriseNGR’s Major Achievements in 2023 The year 2023 was eventful and successful for EnterpriseNGR and we are looking forward to leveraging the vista of opportunities created last year in 2024. Below are some of our major achievements of 2023: 1. Fintech Strategy Collaboration: We kicked off the year with a collaboration with TheCityUK, jointly developing a roadmap for the actualization of the Nigeria Fintech Strategy and organizing a workshop to enhance advancements in the fintech space. 2. WAIFC Membership and African Collaboration: In April, we achieved the significant milestone of becoming the first entity in West Africa to attain membership of the World Alliance of International Financial Centres (WAIFC). Currently, we are actively working with Mauritius, Morocco, and Rwanda to spearhead the African Chapter of WAIFC, fostering collaboration among international financial centers in Africa. 3. Global Presence and Board Appointment: October brought the honor of our CEO’s appointment to the Board of WAIFC, and our engagement with the US Market during the WAIFC Annual General Meeting in New York, Chicago, and Boston further strengthened our global relations. 4. Lagos International Financial Centre Council: A groundbreaking partnership with Lagos State resulted in the inauguration of the Lagos International Financial Centre Council on November 3, positioning Lagos as an international financial center and a prime destination for investment. 5. Historic Debut at the Lord Mayor's Show: In November, we made history at the 2023 Lord Mayor's Show in London, highlighting Nigeria's vibrant business ecosystem and fostering bilateral relationships on an international stage. 6. Publication of SOE Report 2023: We proudly launched the second edition of our annual State of the Enterprise (SOE) Report, thanks to the valuable contributions of members like Meristem, Tangerine Africa, Greenwich Merchant Bank, and Templars. Youth of Enterprise (YOE) Internship Programme: Through our flagship YOE Internship Programme, we empowered 1000 interns across 30+ prestigious companies, addressing youth unemployment and fostering crucial capacity building for the private sector.
